Stories and Puppets and Songs Oh My!

Would you like to add a little bit of magic to your story circle times? Do you want to captivate children and keep their attention? Music, puppets and simple stories told with props can add just the spark you’re looking for.

Participants will:
• Be able to identify the value of stories and storytelling.
• Be motivated and inspired to try new techniques in their story/circle times.
• Be able to share storytelling techniques using puppets, flannel boards, tell and draw, cut and tell, and music

Inspire Future Readers with Exciting Story/Circle Times
Learn ways to capture children’s attention and bring the books that you read to them alive. Also learn simple story stretchers and activities to use between books that will keep kids involved in what you’re doing and wondering what’s coming next!

Participants will:
• Recognize the value of reading to children.
• Explore new ways of reading books that will capture kid’s attention.
• Be able to implement simple songs, and storytelling techniques using puppets, flannel boards, tell and draw, and cut and tell
